2019 didn’t have a great start; Sensex declined by 1.9% until mid-February. Broader indices declined more, with mid cap index declining by 10.6%. This was at a time when world markets started rallying. The MSCI emerging market index was up by 7.4%.
In the last Chartwatchers we had explained how emerging markets are coming out of their consolidation phase. This edition of Chartwatchers speaks on the same lines except that this time initial green shoots are seen in emerging markets especially India & China which confirm our last edition’s hypothesis.
